Hi! My name is █████████ ███, but you can call me Supposedly Spooky or whatever you think my name actually is. I make, art, games, music, and this website!
Talking about myself is hard, so please direct your attention to the left-hand panel which reflects topics and points of interest I could talk about for at least half-an-hour. I hope you find something of interest over there!
QNA
Q: "How often should we expect updates on projects?"
A: I like to be very transparent about how well projects are coming along. I don't want anyone to be shocked when the release date comes around inevitably.
That being said, I like posting something game-related at least once every two weeks so that people can get a taste for what I'm working on, but I post weekly on my Patreon if you want more consistent updates!
Q: "Future plans"
A: I'm in college so a lot of this stuff might not be coming for awhile...
Short term:
* Finish Burdock
* Make a smaller artgame to sort of reset my brain and to take a break
* Work on 2D animation skills
Long Term:
* Escape
Q: "What inspired you to be so silly"
A: Short answer, my dad does magic for a living, so it's probably genetic.
Long answer, I think it's fun to not hold back when it comes to creation. If something sounds cool, do it, even if it's completely ridiculous. I think it's a fun way to get into stuff, and also makes conversations more interesting.
Q: "How many bodies in the basement"
A: Quality > Quantity
Q: "Guilty Pleasures 👀"
A: Absolutely castrating noobs in games I'm probably too old to be playing. I also lie for fun.
Q: "Fav obscure media"
A: ENA isn't obscure anymore, so I can't say that :(
My favorite hobby is browsing old websites with Gifcities, so I'm gonna say, collectively, the entire repository of early 2000's personal webpages hosted by the Internet Archive.
Q: "Where do you hold the tapeworms"
A: In a little jar by my bedside table so I can plop em in after a hard day's work.
Q: "Places to see on your bucket list?"
A: I really really wanna visit an Omega Mart someday. Not really any other places that occupy my mind, although I would like to leave the states for a cool venture eventually.
Q: "Will you drop an album?/Can you drop one?"
A: I'm thinking I will when I'm just a little more confident in my musical abilities. I don't want to spew garbage into peoples ears and give them a bad first impression. Maybe sometime in the next year I'll release an album- no promises though.
Game soundtracks are a different story though. I already posted the full OST (used and unused) for TGLAD, which is up on YouTube.
Q: "What's your story behind becoming an artist/creator?"
A: Started drawing in fourth grade with little alien creatures- made a whole exozoology that was pretty cool. In my freshman year I started an Instagram with ink and pencil doodles. A few years later I started doing found footage. Instagram kind of blew up- I started making games- realized I wasn't being creatively challenged- ditched found footage- got invested in surrealism.
Q: "How did you find your own aesthetics? What fascinates you about it, if anything?"
A: Found a lot of my aesthetic through old media- old anatomy textbooks and games.
Something I both like and would like to develop about my 'aesthetic', is the feeling you've stumbled upon something that's existed for a long time, but you're only now seeing it.
Then again, I feel like sometimes I have to reel myself back in because things have gotten too indecipherable, which isn't ideal.
